This is the Place You've Been Hearing About!

Understanding Encounter Weekends

Ever heard the expression “hurt people hurt people?”. Well the same is true of the opposite; “healed people heal people” and that’s the purpose of an Encounter Weekend! Many Christians are not walking in the fullness of life, because there are hindrances, hurts and afflictions operating in their lives. An Encounter Weekend is a weekend of Freedom – freedom from Habits, Bondages, Wrong thoughts, and past mistakes. Participants are freed through the power of the Cross.

The Specifics:

Encounter weekends are led by our pastors and/or one of our pastoral staff, and assisted by a team of trained and anointed leaders who have been through at least one (if not many) encounters themselves. Each session of teaching is assigned to the leader that God has appointed to that testimony and revelation.

Attendees will find that the environment of the weekend is one that allows and encourages a time of focus on the individual relationship with God. Lodging is very comfortable with a modern duplex facility that housed up to 14 participants per side. Very clean and modern bath facilities are available in each lodge. All meals and snacks are provided. The entire HPC staff is solely dedicated to serving every attendee and ensuring the best possible atmosphere for their time with God.

Over the course of Friday night and Saturday sessions, attendees will be taught about recognizing, exposing and dealing with the many spiritual hindrances that separate and limit the intimacy that they have with Christ. Each session is powerful and direct to the topic. Some of the topics that are generally dealt with are:   feelings of un-acceptance (believing that Christ won’t accept them back because they have turned their back), forgiveness for past hurts (both towards others and towards themselves), father wounds, sexual purity, open spiritual doors that allow Satan legal access into one’s life. The power of the weekend culminates with a night session where the participants are allowed to physically take each and every hindrance to the cross for complete restoration and healing. There is also a session on “Receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit” to ensure that they have the tools to walk a redeemed and restored life after the weekend is over.

Sunday morning all participants will return to Harvest Praise Church for a “Celebration Service” to allow their brothers and sisters in Christ to rejoice with them for the miracle of deliverance that they received.
